I'm using RoboForm for a long time, long before they added folders for better organizing passwords, identities, safenotes. Having about 150 stored passwords (and a few identities and safenotes), you can imagine that it wasn't that easy to organize them in folders, but it was easier than I was expecting it to be, so now I have all passcards stored in about 19 folders. Of course if you're visiting a website the Matching Passcards button is the magic one, but if you want to open a webpage and fill/submit the password you have to go to Logins and select the passcard - this is where organizing your passcards in folders pays off, since you don't have to scroll through hundreds of names (if you named your folders well):

So, given that now everything is well organized, I'll be more careful with future logins and press that Create In button to choose a folder to put it in (button that I ignored most of the times):

If you want to go through organizing your passwords too (in case I wasn't the only one not doing it), here's how you can do it:

    • in the RoboForm toolbar click on the Logins button and on Edit after that to open the Passcard Editor
    • right-click on the Home link on the right and choose to create a New Folder (or use the menu Passcard-Folder-New Folder) and do this as many times as you need to have your passcard folders defined
    • now comes the actual organizing part, you have to select passcards (multiple selection works) and drag-drop those into the folder you want them stored. This can be done differently too, you can open Windows Explorer (or Total Commander) and go to c:\Documents and Settings\<your windows username>\My Documents\My RoboForm Data\<your profile name>\. This is where RoboForm stores its data, and you can see that your created folders are actual folders. You can use cut/paste to move your passcards in those folders (passcards have the .rfp extension). Additionally, you can move your identities (.rft extension) and safenotes (.rfn extension) in the same folders - I found this to be easier since I was using Total Commander and the two panels give you more productivity.

If it's worth doing this or not it's up to you, I for one like to see only 19 items instead of 150 like I did before.
