When I bought roboform several years ago it was a nonexpiring licencewith free upgrades.Now I see I cant upgrade to the newest version without paying a YEARLY fee.I supported robo 2564 days ago and now you are canceling my ability to upgrade ? I can not use roboform on chrome or firefox as my version is older .Will it become useless on future internet explorer versions as well?
I purchased in good faith several years ago and you are breaking that agreement ..I could understand if you changed your policy for new customers but to do so for your loyal customers is wrong.I ask you this "how would you feel if this happened to you"..I understand your need to make money but not by breaking your agreement with your loyal older customers

Hi all, first of all this is not an official Roboform forum, it's a fan-made one (still a fan :) ). I guess wikipedia says it better:
"In December 2010, Siber Systems announced a change in their longstanding license model of guaranteed lifetime upgrades, and purged from their website all mention of their previously-published free upgrades policy. This policy applied to all users who since 2004 had purchased Roboform software for their PC, USB stick, and other devices, as well as Siber Systems GoodSync file synchronization program (used to sync Roboform between devices). Siber Systems also removed the option to export the user data with the full URL, making it harder to export to a number of competing password managers."
So yes, upgrade is not possible, a new license has to be bought with yearly fees. It's probably a pure business decision, angering a lot of clients, but I for one don't have a better replacement so I'll still continue using it.
