They are working on this bug to get it fixed for sure, but until then this is what you can do to resolve crashes, simply visit the html5 version of YouTube at <a href="http://youtube.com/html5" rel="nofollow">http://youtube.com/html5</a> - in there at the bottom of the page you'll see a link called "Join the HTML5 Trial", click it and you'll get a message that you're in the html5 trial. Restart the browser after that and try viewing a video, if it still doesn't work restart your computer. In the meantime, if the HTML5 thingy still didn't work for you here's another tip, thanks to a commenter on Reddit: "For me the issue was multiple flash plugins, if you go to "chrome://plugins" there should be an entry for Flash. If you have the same issue I had, you should see it say "Flash (2 files)". You can then proceed by clicking the details button in the top right and disabling the oldest listed flash plugin. I went from constant crashes to zero since I fixed it a few days ago. I hope this helps. If you have 2 of the same version, disable the one in the C:WindowsSysWOW64 path."</strong><br /> <br /> It's the second time I get an error while playing YouTube videos from Google Chrome. I reinstalled the flash plugin thinking it's because of it but still happens (in Chrome only, FireFox/Maxthon work ok). The good thing about this though is that it let me know that "The follwing plugin is unresponsive: Shockwave Flash" and didn't do anything about that page until I chose to close it, after that displaying instead of the video itself the sad face:<br /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3241/2845094325_e667913ba9_o.gif" alt="Youtube crashes Chrome" /><br /> Who knows, maybe it's because I was watching an "End of Day" video :). Anyone else having this problem, or a workaround for it? Hope it's one of the things they fix in the next update, as YouTube is one of their own products and it should run smooth (true that Flash is not their product).
