In firefox it works, but here I cant make it work in Chrome.
This problem persists for many months. I tried several version of roboform, still it is not working.

I need to right click on roboform tray icon go to logins and left click on one of the passcards to go to a specific page

if i go directly to a site that has a stored passcard the roborm does not ask to fill, it does not fill username and password field automatically, this is really confusing, in firefox it works fine, i reinstalled roboform today and still it does not work, i did rtf uninstall with the file inside the roboform folder

what to do?

Hello,
I am considering purchasing Roboform 7. I have few questions:
1. I format my computer every few weeks and I would like to know if I can install the
license as many times as I please (only on one computer, like the license says) or
is it limited ? Is it a file I save on my computer and can use again every time I
reformat my computer ?
2. Does Robofor 7 fills passwords for software like office 2003 and others (I mean
software that don't use the browser) ?
3. Somebody here mentioned that Roboform ask you to pay for significant updates /
upgeades. Do you see any reason anyone will need to upgrade for the next 5 years ?

Thanks,
Joseph

When I bought roboform several years ago it was a nonexpiring licencewith free upgrades. Now I see I cant upgrade to the newest version without paying a YEARLY fee.I supported robo 2564 days ago and now you are canceling my ability to upgrade ? I can not use roboform on chrome or firefox as my version is older .Will it become useless on future internet explorer versions as well?
I purchased in good faith several years ago and you are breaking that agreement ..I could understand if you changed your policy for new customers but to do so for your loyal customers is wrong.I ask you this "how would you feel if this happened to you"..I understand your need to make money but not by breaking your agreement with your loyal older customers

I bought and installed Roboform on my new Desktop computer. I also installed GoodSync. Then I tried to sync my Roboform to go data on the UBS stick with the Roboform data on my computer. (I had begun using the "Trial version" of Roboform so I had entered several Login Entries.) The source showed "=KINGSTON:\My Roboform Data\Default Profile" and the destination showed "C:\Users\Hugh\AppData\Roaming\My RoboForm Data\Default Profile" and GoodSync preformed the Sync.
However, the longer list of Logins did not show up when I checked on the Browser Tab! so I opened Good Sync again, and rechecked the same two files. The display showed them "equal" at all points. I am still stuck with the original 10 entries on the Roboform that is linked to the Browser. What did I do wrong?

I have two accounts on my XP desktop, my (admin) account and my wife's (non-admin) account. Of course, I have to use the admin account to install, and this works fine with Firefox on both accounts. But using Chrome in the non-admin account will not attach to RF. This is the latest response from RF support:

"thanks for your reply and the log sent, as expected your RoboForm cannot find the Chrome executable due to an incorrect path based on the local appdata path returned by the system, you can try to make the things better with editing your registry settings for the non-admin user, if you familiar to the system registry and regedit utility only, add LOCALAPPDATA value under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment", set it to hold the path to your local applications data folder that's commonly is <your user profile folder>\AppData\Local, it will work if your Chrome is installed as expected in Google\Chrome under the same folder. Ask for more help, if required. Thanks for using RoboForm and sorry for your inconvinience."

...no way, Jose

I just upgraded my laptop & desktop with RF everywhere 7.3.2. & synchronized each. However,I can't find info anywhere on how to use it.
Is this the way it is supposed to work?:

RFE means that I don't have to keep a password directory on either pc because it is on RF's server. Anytime I delete or generate a new passcard it will be stored on the server, away from either pc.

Is that correct? & if so how do I do it?

ENSURE ROBOFORM AND YOUR BROWSERS ARE CLOSED FIRST
Additionally if you want robo v6 to work in firefox 4 then install roboform 7. Goto the siber systems folder (usually @ "C:\Program Files (x86)\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm" and make a backup of the "firefox" folder. Re install roboform v6 and copy the backup of "firefox" you did earlier back into the "Siber Systems\AI RoboForm". Your robo toolbar should work now!

Tips for installing the roboform toolbar on chrome. Notes

When trying to install the toolbar for roboform on chrome browser, install the latest version 6 (6.10.2)"fixed" roboform then find this

extension ": roboform-chrome.crx." (latest is 1.0.9.51) I was able to find it web http://computerboom.blogspot.com/2010/04/roboform-addon-

extension-for-google.html.
You will need to install extension "ietabs" which you can find at https://chrome.google.com/webstore?hl=en-GB for roboform to work in the

browser. Once you have installed ietabs, restart the browser. Down the bottom is the robo toolbar. So roboform can work properly go to the top

right of chrome and click the ietabs extension. The browser will go white briefly and then roboform will work.
If you have roboform 2 go then simply plug your drive in and as long as you have the the same fixed version installed it will work.

Does anyone know why there is no option for Roboform to log you out automatically on closing the browser? It seems like a logical option for security purposes, especially if your PC is used by other people.

Is there perhaps a workaround that might be applied to bring this about?

I'm having the same problem with Roboform Everywhere and Chrome. The toolbar is showing at the bottom of the browser and RFE opens the appropriate web page of each login but does not fill in any of the fields.

I've followed the procedure laid out by mini robo but it still doesn't work in Chrome. Seems okay in IE though.

I have already waited 3 days for a call back and each time I try calling now I wait for > half an hour and have to hang up. I tried calling Options 3 and 4 (sales and marketing) and there never seems anyone to respond or call back. Are they still in business??????

Is there any way to make Roboform logoff automatically when you close your browser? None of the options allow for this. It seems a logical one, as another user of the PC could open the browser and use Roboform to get into websites without the password(s). You can set a timeout but if that has not expired the program will still be active if you forgot to logoff manually.

Downloaded the latest Roboform for Chrome and have these issues:

1) On Igoogle if you click the menu on a feed to either expand or minimize there is a lag of 10-15 seconds before it responds.

2) Likewise in Facebook when you click on links to comment on a port there is the same lag. Disabling the extension resolves the issue but that kinda defeats the purchase of my purchasing it.

1. Install the latest RoboForm from here: http://www.roboform.com/download.html
2. Uninstall adapter in Chrome --> Click Tools>Add-Ons>Extensions
4. Restart Chrome, open any web page – RoboForm Toolbar should attach (right-click RoboForm Taskbar Icon -> Show Toolbar to make it appear if it does not attach automatically).

Note:
* The RoboForm toolbar will only attach to the bottom of the Chrome browser.

I feel cheated, having upgraded to Roboform Pro and then finding that it would not work in Windows 7. My dilemma is that my 32bit IE does not function properly, and the 64bit version will not accommodate RoboForm.

Would you be willing to answer the following questions? (I've asked the Roboform sales people, but some of their answers were cryptic -- if not encrypted.)

1. If I plan on using Roboform on several computers, when would I ever need Roboform Everywhere (https://online.roboform.com/why-everywhere)? (Wouldn't Roboform2GO work just as well?)

2. How would I generate a random password for an account with an existing password and then replace the existing password with the newly-generated one? (Please list the steps I would follow.)

3. Suppose that I generate a random password for an existing account but the account won't accept some of the characters in the newly-generated password. What do I do then?

4. If I want to guard against losing my USB key (for Roboform2GO), can I back it up to another USB key? If so, what software would I use for the backup? (The Roboform people say "GoodSync," which is one of their products.)

5. Will Roboform2GO run on Windows 7 (64-bit) with Firefox 4.0?

Claudiu - 1 year ago roboform coupon
Great news. After a discussion with Simon from Roboform, he agreed to give us a 20% off discount code for Roboform, valid until November 30. In order to purchase Roboform with the discount applied, you have to simply visit the following link: Roboform coupon. If you look at the title you can see "Roboform Chrome Special Discount", that's us :).
Anyway, another option would be to use directly the Roboform coupon code CHRM1, which will automatically reduce your order with 20%. So if you have been waiting for a special occasion to buy Roboform with a discount, now's the moment. I must admit that I'm quite happy because they've visited this forum and decided to give us a special Roboform discount.
As a note, if you intend to order more items, I've seen that when visiting roboform.com directly and going to the purchase page, the Discount Code field at the bottom doesn't show. If you go to the Additional Licenses tab and then go back to Single, you'll see the Discount Code field and you can enter the coupon code in there.

If you google for a roboform coupon it should show a google advertisement that takes you to the landing page, by default roboform is discounted.

Hi Marj, others,

Well I've paid for and upgraded to Roboform 7.2.6 Everywhere at $9.95 per annum. Kind of annoyed that I purchased so many licenses for my systems less than two years ago and no grandfathering based on previous purchase spend.

Anyway, after shutting down all browsers, installing, syncing, restarting Chrome, it's working again. So far, so good.

Will see if I end up with the same failure later that Marj encountered.

Keep ya's posted.

Bradley / entregreeneur here. How are you? I'll pop in to Jerry's skype room to say hi again soon.

Yes, I am having the same dang problem with Chrome; it's totally smashing my productivity :-(

No idea why this has started happening in the past few days.

I'm on 6.10.0 right now, getting the ""Cannot find forms to fill on this page" error.

I'll update to 7.2.6 shortly then do a system restart, will let you know whether that helps or not.

cheers,

I'm still struggling with it, sorry to report.

For 2 blissful days, Chromium "kinda worked" for me. I was beaten into submission (i.e., upgrade roboform to version 7) today when everything went wonky again. Things were ok for an hour or so and then I started to get this error:

"... the application has failed to start because nspr4.dll was not found"

I tried copying the file from the Firefox folder to Google ->Chrome folder and no joy.

I've reinstalled the regular Chrome and installed the Roboform Everywhere chrome software and, now I'm back to the stupid "Chrome roboform plugin crashed" errors.

I would tell you exactly how I feel about wasting all of this time but I'm sure the forum is rated PG.

I had the same problem. It started an hour ago. Nothing has changed in any settings since I updated to 7 a week ago, and I have used RoboForm for years without every encountering this. What is odd, IE (which is NOT my default browser, pops up okay). I paid for the update to 7.1.1 and am wondering if I have to revert to an older version to get it to work.

If the upgrade was free for people who already are Pro users of your software, your answer would be applicable but, as I see it, your suggestion that we upgrade and the fact that you are charging us to do so is just a way for Roboform/Siber Systems to generate an influx of cash.

Where was it documented that future upgrades would be an expense when we bought your software?

Google Chrome is up to date (10.0.648.127)

Roboform logins are working with Chrome on my laptop, which is running XP Pro SP3 and also is up to date. The Chrome version there is also 10.0.648.127.

Also, like many others, the Roboform plugin crashes Chrome repeatedly. As someone else said in another thread, it is UNACCEPTABLE that Roboform is not stepping up to the plate to make the tool work well with Chrome.

Has anyone else out there experienced this sudden failure?

I am a Siber Systems employee. Many of us in the office use Chrome 9 and now 10. The latest version 7.2.5 fixes most crashes that have been reported. Please note that RoboForm support can be contacted at http://support.roboform.com. We have 24/7 email support with response times typically less than a day.

I've tried Roboform with Chrome several times since it was first available and crashing is what it has always done. That said, this latest release is by far closest to being release ready. I crash only four or five times a day. If they did any testing at all it would be pretty obvious. Freezes/crashes are hard to avoid with moderate Chrome usage. Not sure if I will continue to use it. Getting there...

Why are you acting like this 20% is a "deal"? Roboform ALWAYS has a deal going for 20% off. 39.95 is NEVER the real price for this program. As a 6 year user, I should know. There hasn't been more than a 2-3 day period where the 20% discount isn't offered. This is a marketing tactic to make people think they are getting this product, "valued" at 39.95, for a "discount". It ceases to a be a discount when it is continuous.

Do you know of some way to get if for cheaper?
I would like to know...

Still having same crash issues with extension of 7.2.2.....7.2.3 doesn't look good either. Suggestion to RF Dev: Stretch your dev horizon and advise your users where you are at. Test more. Move to Beta model if you must, but this is annoying. Competition (LastPass) is looking better....although I will concede Google is having a few issues too...but they are the dog, and you are the tail here.

I have desktop running 64 bit IE8 and a laptop running 64 bit IE8. Roboform is loaded on both. Roboform works fine on the desktop but loads and looks the same on the laptop but won't fill logins. Both versions are 8.0.7600.16385 cipher 256 bit. What's up? Or am I wrong about the 64bit IE 8?

Unacceptable. I love roboform but I might have to go back to lastpass.

Version "7.1.3" still moves every web page down a quarter inch, even with the setting at "show no toolbar" and worse, it takes several seconds to do this, which most of the time causes Chrome to freeze up and close.

I upgraded to this version per instructions received from Roboform support because I was getting a grey placeholer at the top of every webpage. The latest version fixed this but is causing the problems mentioned.

I am using the latest Chrome version 8.0.552.224

Chrome adapter is now set up together with Roboform (starting with version 7.1.1). Please install it from there. The .crx that you can download from roboform.us is a quite old build.

If you still get crashes, please report Chrome/Adapter/Roboform version to Roboform support.

Roboform 7.1.2 now really unstalls Adapter into Opera "from box". I will continue upload Adapter as .zip file (probably we'll make an official location for it) for those who wants to use Roboform 6.

Official announcement that now Opera is supported platform will be added soon.

The latest Adapter fixes some form filling issues (less not-filled fields).

Documents with frames now ARE NOT supported. Its support will be introduced in 2011 and for Opera 11 *only*.

Since a few weeks Chrome was crashing unexpectedly let's say every 15 minutes.
It was not dramatic but ... a problem.
I decided to re-load Chrome 3 days ago. Very good. I was out of this nightmare.
I thought I had solved my Problem (I had spent a lot of time trying to find the reason).

Then I discovered the Roboform extension had to be reloaded too.
And then almost immediatly, crashes again.

Thank you to tell me what to do.

I like Roboform but I paid some money and I supposed it would work without failure.
Do you think a money compensation will be done?

Still dont quite understand how the master password works.

I have my Roboform master password protected, but no password prompt when I edit the passcard.

Why is that and how secure is that?
